SATFI European Reception Testing

SatFi GOES ANOTHER 2500 MILES FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS!
Testing the new SatFi UK+ & SatFi EU Satellite Domes

To coincide with the product launch of our two new satellite dome antennas we are undertaking another epic 2500 mile Astra 2 satellite reception footprint road trip this time through France and Spain. This ensures our customers remain fully up to date on where they can watch their favourite TV programmes whilst touring the continent. We will also be testing the very popular high gain Travel Vision 80cm automatic satellite antenna for key locations in Southern France and Northern Spain that might require a larger dish for some key UK TV programming.

“We wanted to ensure we had the most up-to-date and accurate reception information for our existing and perspective customers in time for the February NEC show, and before the caravan and motorhome season kicks off in earnest” says Jason Macintosh, Managing Director at CA Clase who owns the SatFi brand.

Our new ultra slimline SatFi UK+ antenna with its sleek low profile design is an amazing 26cm high and comes feature packed with wake on demand, Avtex DVB-S TV ready and automatic DiSEqC satellite switching. Plus, its high gain Cassegrain reflector ensures the best possible reception for the Astra 2 UK footprint and also makes it the most advanced compact satellite dome antenna on the market.

We are also testing the new SatFi EU, the first in a new generation of full size satellite domes specifically designed for European satellite reception. The SatFi EU also uses a high gain Cassegrain reflector but with the addition of GPS aided LNB autoskew and advanced DVB-S2 tracking ensuring the best possible reception. This is a first for any satellite dome antenna for use within the caravan and motorhome markets. The SatFi EU also has automatic wake on demand, DiSEqC automatic satellite switching and is fully updateable and configurable for UK and European satellite TV providers and is Avtex DVB-S TV ready.

We set off on Sunday 15th January and return to the UK on Friday 20th January. You can follow us with daily updates, pictures and videos via social media and online during the road trip and then come and visit us at the Spring NEC Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 21st – 26th February 2017 on Stand 2201 to ask us questions and get the most accurate and up to date advice on UK TV reception.

European reception testing will be carried out by CA Clase 15th January – 20th January 2017, keep an eye on this page for updates.

Day 1

The ferry from Portsmouth to Caen got in about 5:30am and the guys started the first leg of their drive, with the aim for today being Bayonne. As of right now they are in Le Mans and will be going through Poitiers, then Bordeuax before arriving in Bayonne a little later this evening.

Day 2

Today the guys are heading into Spain, heading through Valencia and will start making the 2nd leg of their journey back up towards France again. Reports are good with the SatFi RV and GO working well in Valencia, even on the motorway at 120kmph.
